Welcome to Year 1C's Class page!
We are so excited for this new school term and getting started with our learning.
Mrs Clark is our teacher this year, she is looking forward to teaching children at the Oaks!
We also have two wonderful teaching assistants; Mrs Bagnall and Miss Hill. Miss Hill works Mondays and Fridays and Mrs Bagnall doesTuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We have some really fantastic topics this year which we think the children will really enjoy.
This term our topic is Moon Zoom, we will be visiting the Think Tank and finding out what it takes to be a real astronaut. In school we will be learning all about Space and we may even make our own rockets!

The children did an amazing performance of their class assembly this week.
The reading, speaking, singing and dancing was wonderful.
All of the grown-ups are super proud.
Well done 1C !!!!!
World Book Day - Friday 8th March
We had a fantastic day for World Book Day today. Enjoy looking at our dressing up costumes.
Dinosaur Day - Wednesday 27th February
Today Year 1 had a visit from Sophie the dinosaur. We all got to stroke her and search for dinosaur fossils. The children really enjoyed their morning.
Tuesday 21st November
In computing this half term, we are using the iPads to learn some basic coding.
The children have been working really hard on an app called Scratch Jnr.
Today they have made a short program. They needed to write the script for the sprite (characters) to make it move continually across the screen when the green flag was pressed. Many of the children even managed to put in extra cars and animals, and program them to move at different speeds!
