We have been outside to play and learn as often as we could during the summer term. We have made many things, pirate hats, jelly boats, telescopes and pirate ships. We have made biscuits, cake and healthy pizzas. We have learnt about France and learnt that we live in England. Nursery children have enjoyed running races and using large scale equipment to move on. We have also talked about what we are good at and what makes us unique and special. It has been a brilliant term or learning and fun.
Spring Term 2 2021
We have continued to busy in nursery learning about animals who live on a farm, the sounds they make, the names of their babies, the names of their homes and the food we get from them. We really enjoyed the living eggs that hatched in our nursery. We have renewed friendships, made marks, played games and being very happy to welcome new children to our nursery.
Spring Term 1 2021
We have been busy learning in nursery. We have looked at changes with cooking and dough, tried new tastes, experimented with snow, ice and water outside and inside and made new friends. We sing every day and we are still able to do our weekly singing sessions with Mrs Mapp. We are running our daily mile, learning to help each other do up our coats, mark making daily, counting, looking carefully at natural materials and trying healthy new tastes. We are learning to tell the difference between a pull and a push. Take a look at the photos below to see what we have been doing.
World Nursery Rhyme Week is always in November, rhymes are very important to young children. We say rhymes every day in Nursery. Learning these by heart helps children to develop good reading skills as they learn and grow.
